The original article titled “Pathologic anatomy of the soft palate, part 2: The soft tissue lever arm, pathology, and surgical correction” published in Journal of Cleft Lip Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies, on pages 83-108, Volume 4, Issue 2, 2017,[1] is being retracted because of having number of unattributed figures from an article titled “Flap Necrosis after Palatoplasty in Patients with Cleft Palate”, published in BioMed Research International, on pages 1-14, Volume 2015, Article ID 516375, 2015.[2] Also, there are other unattributed figures which have been drawn from unknown sources without having due permissions to republish. Plagiarism, fabrication, duplication, unethical or redundant publication violates the editorial policy of Journal of Cleft Lip Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies, which follows best practice guidelines given by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) mentioned on the Information for Authors and as codified in the signed statements made by the authors regarding the copyright of their work.
This article has been retracted on request of the Author, Editor-in-Chief and Editorial board of the journal.
